Amy Johnson Crow(www.amyjohnsoncrow.com//) gave motivation for genealogical bloggers with her 2018 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks Challenge. My plan is to take up the challenge and present a post each week of 2018 about one of my ancestors. I hope you will join me and keep me on track as I give you some interesting stories or information about one of my ancestors and perhaps, yours, too.
It's a new year and time for a new start. A lot of things were going on that put my blog on the back burner. Well, I'm hoping to put it up front and post again on a regular basis.

The WPA and Cemeteries - The In-Depth Genealogist
You might remember learning about the Work Progress Administration or WPA in history class when you were in school. Like most of us, you probably don’t remember much about it, except that it was part of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal. THEINDEPTHGENEALOGIST.COM|BY DEBBIE MAYES My latest post is now on the In-Depth Genealogist website. http://theindepthgenealogist.com/ive-learned-family-history-nothing-family-history/
The new Going-In Depth is out. My article on church records made the cover! http://theindepthgenealogist.com/going-in-depth/
The new issue of Going-In Depth is out. Cindy's article ison p.7 and mine's on p. 44.http://issuu.com/indepthgen/docs/2013-10-idg_goingindepth/1?e=6765931%2F5225876

Info and registration form is on the ACGS website at: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohallcgs/ . Hope to see you there.
I don't know why I didn't think to post this until now. Guess it's because the past few months have been so hectic and crazy. Awhile back, I wrote a guest article for my friend, Derek Davey's blog. If you missed it, you can read it here: http://nwogenalogy.blogspot.com/2013/08/civil-war-prisoners-of-war-not-always.html
Enjoy! If you missed the latest issue of Going In-Depth, you can catch it here: http://issuu.com/indepthgen/docs/2013-07-15-idg_goingindepth/1?e=6765931%2F4039196 My article begins on p. 47. My latest blog article appeared on The In-Depth Genealogist blog the other day. I've been so busy this month, I haven't had time to share it with you or write on my blog, as you've probably noticed. Hope you enjoy it. I've got a couple of August 1st deadlines to meet. I'll be back on here soon.
The Family History Daily online newsletter has been placed on hiatus. The website will, however, remain online and the previous articles will still be available. If you did not get a chance to read my articles, you can find them by clicking here. Although, I enjoyed writing these articles, I am looking forward to having more time to catch up my other endeavors, including Rambling Along the Ancestral Trail. As you may have noticed, I haven't had much time to write on my blog. My current commitments seemed to have avalanched and I've been busy trying to catch up and to meet deadlines. Some items have been completed and checked off the "to do" list. These extra hours will help me to catch up and get back into getting new posts more regularly for you to enjoy.
