About Me
My passion for genealogy began in 1998 when I started exploring my own family history. I soon became active in the local genealogical community.
As a library volunteer, I began helping others with their research in 2001. I began presenting lectures and workshops in 2004 and researching for clients in 2008.
I was a lesson grader for the NGS American Genealogy: A Home Study Course from 2009 through 2014 when it was replaced with the American Genealogical Studies course that uses a digital Learning Management System instead of graders. Currently, I am the registrar for the Lima, Ohio chapter, DAR, the Patriotic Instructor for the Lizabeth A. Turner Tent of the Daughters of Union Civil War Veterans, Lima, Ohio, and the Central Region Director of the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors.
I am on hiatus as a writer for the In-Depth Genealogist's magazine, Going In-Depth, and their blog while I am writing a book about my paternal family history (Carder). I also have my own genealogical blog here.
